Did you know that unlike the other two forms, White-Striped Basculin were known to be gentle? Known to travel upstream, many didn’t survive this perilous journey and as a result, the souls of the deceased Pokémon would often be left behind in the waters of Hisui. When an injured White-Striped Basculin survived, it would unite with those souls in order to evolve!

Omg I love Ruby

I'm not sure that the person who sent in her origin story quite understands how much I adore this girl. I love her so much. She's my baby. Oh my goodness gracious. She's such a good partner-in-crime for Opal and I can see these two forming an exploration team together when they grow up.

Team Smoke and Mirrors are some of the most well-known scouts there are in the exploration team world— they aren't the best of the best, but they're up there in skill, and Guildmaster Bidoof is always bragging that those two were apprenticed at his guild, and look at how they turned out! Yup yup, he's so proud to have been able to help them get their footing and send such a doggone wonderful team out into the world, gosh!

Chatot retired shortly before the Guild received their application papers, and he's slightly conflicted about that.

On the one hand, he'd like to resume his work and ensure they get a proper apprenticeship— while he's never met Ruby, he remembers when Twig brought a younger Opal to the Guild on a handful of occasions when her husband (Chatot shudders whenever he recalls the reality of who she married) was away on his own errands and she couldn't get a sitter for the day. He recalls Opal transforming into a downy little hatchling of his species during the first visit, and she was always in that form before Twig even came through the front doors on subsequent visits— when Bidoof casually mentioned the significance of this, Chatot was so emotional the rest of the day that he misfiled an embarrassing number of reports. He doubts Opal remembers him at all, but he'd be proud to keep her and her sister on the straight and narrow.

On the other hand, her and her sister are Twig's daughters. He barely survived ONE Twig. The thought of TWO of them being apprenticed simultaneously, let alone on a single team, is nearly enough to make his feathers go gray with just the thought.

Hey to all of the shelters and biologists. I have a quick question about a pokémon I have in my care. (I think I've sent a question to someone already but I'm gonna make a post anyways for more opinions)

So, my family lives in Sinnoh and I'm from Galar for context. I go to school in Paldea.

My family has a Garchomp that my great grandfather raised, and after his passing it was decided that the pokémon would be allowed to choose their new trainer. On my most recent visit to Sinnoh, I actually met the big guy and we got along well.

Long story short, I'm now this big guy's new trainer. The Garchomp's name is Emperor so I'm gonna call him that from now on.

I have a lot of experience with dragon type pokémon, so caring for a Garchomp isn't gonna need too much new items, but the thing is, Emperor is REALLY big.

Like, two or three times the size of a regular Garchomp.

I don't know if this is a normal thing among Sinnohan Garchomp, and researching online isn't giving me much to go off of. Although Emperor has a clean bill of health (and was deemed battle-ready) I'm not having him participate in any battles.

So my question is does anyone know why Emperor is so large? And does that pose any health risks that I should look out for.

Asking you bc you're the resident silver expert and I look up to you but... do you think Silver has a guilt complex irt his past treatment of his pokémon 👀

SHORT ANSWER KINDA???

long answer is sorta yes. like in the past hes mstly verbally abusive towards his pkmn. the most physical abuse they got out of him is a hard push or a slap of their paws if they try to reach out to him (this is because silver grew up in a fairly loving household before all goes to shit n the most violence hes seen is giovanni being verbally ruthless towards his grunts n execs so silver picked tht up over the years)

ofc in time silver begins to soften up and while hes still rude n cold to strangers hes kinder to his pkmn. hes more apologetic but he SUCKS at apologizing. it takes silver like...idk 5-7 years for him to properly apologize to his pkmn? luckily they all understand him very well and love him dearly

silver is very aloof to his mons but when theres no audience he does let them snuggle and cuddle him. now silver has a habit of petting sneasel while the lil guy curls on his lap. while silver has a bad way of apologizing he makes up w physical affection. pets. kisses on head. letting feraligatr playfully nibble his arm like a puppy. silvers words are hard but his actions are easier.

there are moments where silver cant seem to breathe at the memory of him lashing out at his croconaw everytime he loses. or ignoring his zubats cries before screaming at the poor guy. or being ignorant of sneasels sorrow after the guy got kidnapped. silver clearly remember those times n it eats it him. it makes him feel like shit. why would he say such things? they werent hurt physically but sometimes the emotional pain is worse.

so silver repents by giving them hugs and attention n kisses (last one ensuring no one sees). he gives them berries as rewards of winning or motivation after losing. he knows the memory can never go awat but silver hopes the new ones--better. more loving. happier--can overtake the old memories
